Questions test a user’s skills, competency, and learning in the subject matter. Questions can appear directly in the table of contents in the outline for a Player or document output, or they can be included in assessments. An assessment is a collection of questions and topics used to test a user's knowledge of larger portions of content.
Questions and assessments can be published to the Training Guide and Instructor Manual print styles. This can be set using the Include Assessments and Include Question options on the Training Guide or Instructor Manual Document outputs. Questions and assessments that are in an outline are published to print outputs. Related assessments are grouped together in the output under the title Associated Assessments.
Note: You can add questions and assessments to publish to other print styles besides the Training and Instructor Manual styles. Questions and assessments are not part of In-application support launches. Questions and assessments have properties that are global defaults but can be changed for individual questions or assessments. The properties set for the assessment override individual properties set on each question to ensure consistent presentation of the questions in the assessment.
