This document describes the contents of the Oracle Enterprise Manager Ops Center library.

1 Introduction to the Library

The Oracle Enterprise Manager Ops Center 12c Release 2 library is located at http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E40871_01/index.htm.

The following tabs are available in the library:

The library has a Search field in the upper right corner of the page.

2 Overview Tab

The Overview tab is the landing page for the library. This page provides the information needed to get started with the software, including new features, an overview of the concepts, and the installation and administration documents. This page also contains a link to the Oracle Enterprise Manager Licensing Information.

2.1 Getting Started

Getting Started contains a high-level overview of the software and features.

2.2 Installation and Administration

Installation and Administration contains the guides used to plan for, install, and administer the software.

3 How To Tabs

The How To tabs contain workflows and end-to-end examples about how to use the software to perform an operation. The documents provide examples for how to use the software to manage Oracle Solaris and SPARC systems.

  • Deploy How Tos tab: Contains examples needed to deploy networks, storage, hardware, operating systems, zones and Oracle VM Server for SPARC with Oracle Enterprise Manager Ops Center. Items in this tab are prerequisites to the items in the Operate How Tos tab.

  • Operate How Tos tab: Contains examples needed to operate networks, storage, hardware, operating systems, and virtualization technology after you deploy the assets.

The How To documents often combine several features and tasks that are described in various places in the Oracle Enterprise Manager Ops Center Feature Reference Guide. The workflows provide guidance on how you might combine the examples to deploy and operate the software.

Each workflow appears in a section with the related How To documents. A shown in Figure 1, each section has an expand and contract feature to show or hide the list of Workflows and How To documents. Two workflows appear in Figure 1: Deploy Oracle Solaris 11 Zones Workflow and Deploy Oracle Solaris 10 Zones Workflow. The Deploy Oracle Solaris 11 Zones Workflow has two associated How To files: Creating Oracle Solaris 11 Zones and Creating a Server Pool for Zones. The Deploy Oracle Solaris 10 Zones Workflow is contracted and the associated How To files are not visible.
