This image is a flowchart of a DHCP configuration using an external DHCP Server. The external Oracle Solaris DHCP Server communicates with the Proxy Controller directly or through a router if DHCP Relay/Forwarding is enabled. The Proxy Controller exchanges DHCP requests with systems targeted for OS Provisioning. The Subnets Panel defines the Subnet for the DHCP relay. The External DHCP Servers Panel configures the Proxy Controller to use the External Oracle Solaris DHCP Server. The Provision OS Wizard sends asset data, including IP Address, Host Name, Net Mask, and Gateway, to the Proxy Controller.
