Once the form's status is "complete," and you have completed testing it, you can bundle the design, or multiple designs, for importing into the Primavera Unifier Production environment. Bundling designs makes it easier to transfer them to the production environment. Bundling designs entails tagging the designs and then creating a design bundle. The design bundle is created as a zip file for transferring to the production environment.
When you create the design bundle, uDesigner goes through all the logs (both business process and manager logs) and compares the last published version of each design with the deployed version number. If the deployed version number is greater than the published version number, uDesigner collects the design for the bundle. Bundles can, therefore, include designs for managers as well as business processes.
To tag one or multiple designs for bundling
If you are bundling designs to export to another staging environment, choose Staging from the Tag menu.
To bundle the designs
uDesigner goes through all the logs (both business process and manager logs) and compares the last published version of each design with the deployed version number. If the deployed version number is greater than the published version number, uDesigner collects the design for the bundle.
uDesigner performs an error check on the designs included in the bundle. Each design must be self-contained. For example, any reference process that the design refers to must also be in the bundle. If the business process references a line item on another form, that form must also be in the bundle.
If there are errors, uDesigner will display an Errors window. You will need to correct the errors and re-bundle the designs.
When the design(s) are bundled, the name of the bundle will appear on the Design Bundles log. It is ready for importing into Unifier production. In order to import it into another environment, you must save the design bundle somewhere on your desktop or local system.
Once you have downloaded the zip file to your local system, you can then log into another environment and import that zip file. For instructions on importing a zip file into Primavera Unifier Production, see the "Import a Design" topic in the Primavera Unifier Administration Help.
For Fund Attribute Forms:
There is a one-to-one link between Primavera Unifier and Primavera uDesigner for every company. If you import a fund attribute form into a company in Primavera Unifier, you cannot import one from another Primavera uDesigner to the same company in Primavera Unifier.
Error Check the Design Bundle Before Bundling
If you prefer, you can error check the designs before you bundle them. After you tag the designs for bundling, do this:
uDesigner performs an error check on the designs that have been tagged for bundling.
