City of Calgary deployed many fluid capabilities and used delivered tools and frameworks to isolate and eliminate a significant number of customizations

Summary

The City of Calgary upgraded their PeopleSoft systems. They used this opportunity to uptake several fluid features and used Page and Field Configurator, drop zones, event mapping, and Application Engine plug-ins to manage their customizations.

Customer comments

The City of Calgary went live with a PUM upgrade project. With this PUM update, we implemented quite a few new things.

Key highlights include:

  • Converted to fluid Life Events and fluid Open Enrollment. We added the questionnaire framework into some of our life events.
  • Converted to fluid Direct Deposit.
  • Converted to fluid T4s.
  • Converted to fluid Timesheet and Fluid Time Summary.
  • Converted to fluid My Job Openings.
  • Converted to fluid Talent Profile and Team Talent Profile.

For customizations impacted by the PUM update that we applied, we used Page and Field Configurator as much as possible plus utilized drop zones, event mapping, and Application Engine plug-ins.
