You can create a clone of a Windows boot LUN as a safety archive or to set up a number of similar boot-from-SAN hosts. The host must not be booted from the LUN when a clone is created.
- Shut down the host.
- Use the Clone LUN feature in the Oracle FS System Manager (GUI) to create a clone of the LUN.

- Remove the host mappings from the original LUN.
- Change the original LUN number to some other LUN number.
- Assign the original LUN number to the clone.
- Map the clone to the host.
- Restart the host.
