FSPM Support

The Oracle FS Path Manager (FSPM) is optional software that can be installed on a SAN host to manage multiple paths to the Oracle Flash Storage System.

Important! SAN hosts that access the Oracle FS System over multiple paths must use FSPM, not Pillar Axiom Path Manager (APM).

FSPM release 4.0 and higher support both Oracle Flash Storage Systems and Pillar Axiom systems (release 4.5 or higher).

The FSPM software performs the following primary functions:
  • Shares traffic among the available paths and ensures that access to the LUNs is not interrupted if some paths fail.
  • Automatically configures the host into the Oracle FS System Manager and updates the configuration if it changes.
