Converting Interactive Reports to Analysis Reports

  1. In Reporting and Analytics, click Reports, and then click Interactive Reporting.
  2. Find the report you want to convert, and then click Show.
  3. Click the PDF icon to save the configuration information.
  4. Click OBIEE Link and create an Analysis Report by matching the Subject Area configuration element to the Analysis Report subject area as described in the following mapping table:

  5. To add columns to the report:
    1. On the Criteria tab, find the columns in the Subject Area pane that corresponds to the Columns configuration element.
    2. Drag and drop the columns to the Selected Columns pane.
    3. To configure the sorting order for a column, click the configure icon, select Sort, and then select the sorting method.
    4. To configure filters for a column, click the configure icon, select Filter, and then configure the filter based on the Parameters configuration element.
  6. To add time-based columns to the report:
    1. On the Criteria tab, find the columns in the Subject Area pane that corresponds to the Columns configuration element.
    2. Drag and drop the columns to the Selected Columns pane.
    3. To configure the sorting order for a column, click the configure icon, select Sort, and then select the sorting method.
    4. To configure filters for a column, click the configure icon, select Filter, and then configure the filter based on the Parameters configuration element.
  7. To configure the aggregation rule for a column when performing a direct database request for values:
    1. On the Results tab, click Edit View to open the Layout pane.
    2. In the Columns and Measures section, click the configure icon for a column, select Aggregation Rule, and then select the aggregation rule that corresponds to the Column Aggregation configuration element.
  8. Click Save As to save the report, and enter a new report name or use the value in the Report Name configuration element. You can then publish the report.
  9. Perform the following steps to update the migration status of the report. The status is for administrative information only and does not impact operations.
    1. In Reporting and Analytics, click Reports, and then click Interactive Reporting.
    2. Find the report you want to convert, and then click the Migration Status.
    3. Select the new migration status for the report, and then click Save.
