Power Off the Server (Oracle ILOM)

You can use the SP to perform a graceful shutdown of the server, and to ensure that all of your data is saved and the server is ready for restart.

Note - Additional information about powering off the server is provided in the SPARC S7-2 Series Servers Administration Guide.

Prepare to power off the server.
See Prepare to Power Off the Server.

Switch from the system console to the Oracle ILOM prompt by typing the #. (Hash-Dot) key sequence.

Power off the server.

-> stop /System
```
Note - You can also use the Server Power button on the front of the server to initiate a graceful server shutdown. (See Power Off the Server (Server Power Button - Graceful).)
