Bug 25458149 - OFS PFT Application Pack v8.0.0.0.0 Minor Release #4 (8.0.4.0.0)
This Minor release of OFS PFT Application Pack is cumulative of all enhancements and bug fixes done since the 8.0.0.0.0 release.
The minimum patch set level should be OFS PFT Application Pack v8.0.0.0.0.
For detailed instructions on installing this OFS PFT Release, please refer to Oracle Financial Services Profitability Management Application Pack Installation Guide 8.0.4.0.0.
Starting with the version 8.0.0.0.0 release, OFSAA applications are packaged and released as Application Packs. The OFS Profitability Management Application Pack includes OFS AAI, OFS PFT, OFS FTP, OFS IPA, OFS RPA, and OFS EFPA. Refer to the subsequent sections for more details.
This section includes the following sub-sections:
Following is the list of new features incorporated in this release. For detailed information on usage of these features, refer to OFSAAI 8.0.4.0.0 User Guide.
OFSAAI has been enhanced to render on multiple browsers like Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox in addition to Internet Explorer. The OFSAAI screens are now HTML 5 compliant. See Limitations section to know about the modules that are not HTML 5 compliant.
· For Sliced and Incremental Model Upload modes, an option to perform object registration process as Incremental or Full is introduced.
· Naming Convention of constraints (PK and FK) has been changed to resolve the following issues:
· For tables with similar names which are relatively long (>27 characters) where initial few characters differ (for example, STG_COMMON_ACCOUNT_SUMMARY, FCT_COMMON_ACCOUNT_SUMMARY), the constraint names get generated as same causing an Oracle error of duplicate constraints.
· When number of foreign keys for a table is more than 100, the length of the constraint name exceeds the permissible limits allowed by Oracle Database.
Update Constraints utility (23251358) is introduced to alter the existing constraint name references according to the new convention. A unique ID gets generated for each data model entities. The new constraint name will be generated by appending the unique ID with ‘FK’ or ’PK’ (along with a sequence for FK). For example PK on DIM_ACCOUNT will be formed as PK_101, where 101 is the unique id of DIM_ACCOUNT. Similarly, FKs on FCT_ACCOUNT_SUMMARY will be FK_206_01, FK_206_02, FK_206_03, FK_206_04, where 206 is the unique id of FCT_ACCOUNT_SUMMARY and the table has 4 FKs.
For more information on this feature, see OFS AAAI Application Pack Installation and Configuration Guide_8.0.4.0.0.
The utility has been enhanced to migrate objects with their dependent objects. For more information on the dependent objects that are migrated with the base object, see Command Line Utility for Object Migration section in the OFSAAI 8.0.4.0.0 User Guide.
The DMT Data Mapping JAVA Engine has been enhanced to support Define Once – Execute Anywhere. A metadata that has been originally defined as a T2T, can at run time be executed like a H2H or H2T or T2H. Additional run time parameters EXEC_ENV_SOURCE and EXEC_ENV_TARGET have been introduced which contain information on the Run-Time Source and Run-Time Target. These run time parameters are passed through Operations or RRF module.
For Data Quality Control Total Check Rule, Group by Join Condition has been introduced as an additional input to define the order in which the LHS and RHS columns should be compared.
· Data Quality Rule can be defined on Derived Entities.
· Hierarchy resave utility (runit.sh) has been enhanced with an additional option to exclude hierarchies from resaving.
· Dataset ANSI Join supports up to 12000 characters.
· Creation of Derived Entity now implicitly creates a Dataset.
· A new command line utility has been introduced to migrate:
· Users registered in LDAP server to OFSAA
· Users in LDAP to a user group mapping in OFSAA
· User Groups in OFSAA to LDAP server.
· User Group Name field has been added in User Group Maintenance window.
· SFTP authentication with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) has been implemented.
· Command Line Object Migration utility supports migration of PMF Process (object ID is 8000).
· Copy feature is introduced for Workflow definition.
· Search functionality is introduced in Inbox.
· Feature to revoke active delegations is introduced.
· Ability to Send Email (Consolidated or Individual) for the task or notification is introduced.
· Ability to reassign the task from Inbox is introduced.
· Support for attaching document to the PMF activity has been introduced.
· Generic Questionnaire framework has been introduced.
· Configure attributes with data from dimension tables, SQL queries or from a set of predefined static values. These attributes are dynamically displayed in Questionnaire.
· Create questionnaire by defining attributes across various components. Three types of Questionnaire are supported- Basic, Decision Tree and Score based.
· Dynamic Answer options can be defined for single-choice and multiple-choice questions.
· A new column has been introduced in FORMS_APP_FILTER table to validate mandatory parameters in application filter.
· Contextual help is available for KBD controls.
· A configuration has been added for hiding or displaying the backend (top) search across all the hierarchies in Hierarchy Browser.
· Slider control has been introduced with the control type "30"
· For number control, default decimal point field is introduced.
· FMloglevel flag is introduced in the configuration table based on which logs will be written into the error table.
· Command line object migration utility now supports migration of Page (object ID is 1127).

Following is the list of new features incorporated in this release:
This enhancement provides users with the option to write audit details to the database, allowing for drill through from an FTP result back to the important details related to the result. Available information includes information such as FTP Process identifier, Transfer Pricing or Adjustment Method, Interest Rate Code and other relevant details.
Audit details are applicable to all FTP calculations including Transfer Rates, Adjustment Rates, All-in TP Rates, Breakage Charges, Rate Lock Option Costs, Option Adjusted Spreads, and Economic Values.
This enhancement provides users with the option to export application metadata to a file which can be transported to a target environment and uploaded.
With this enhancement, all FTP User Interfaces have been converted to HTML 5. This change will allow users to access the FTP application from Internet Explorer, Chrome or Firefox.
This enhancement to the Cash Flow Duration and Cash Flow Average Life TP Method allows users to directly populate the Duration or Average Life from an external system (via ETL process) and when populated, these TP methods will read these as inputs for looking up TP rates rather than performing the calculation of Duration or Average Life as a prerequisite step.
The FTP Rate Card now supports calculation of Rate Lock Option Costs. Users can input the Rate Lock Option Cost inputs through the products UI and schedule the calculation of Rate Lock Option Cost as part of the FTP Rate Card TP Process.
The Weighted Average Perpetual TP method has been enhanced to work against instrument table data. Previously, this method was only applicable to Ledger Tables. Now it works against both Instrument and Ledger tables.
FTP Adjustment Rules have been enhanced to allow for calculation of adjustment rates using TP methods. With this enhancement, users will have the option to use either the existing Adjustment Rate methods or Transfer Pricing methods.

As there was no option for the user to edit the variations and view any changes on the fly, the functionality is enhanced so that the business users can change/edit variations and view the impacts for better decision making. The projection line graph based on time series has been made more interactive for the user.
· Scenario- Basic: Revamped Scenario creation page, with introduction to an interactive graph and inclusion of features like selecting measures, applying variations and view impacting changes in graph as well as through tables. The basic scenario would be applied to a single repline selected.
· Scenario- Advanced: over and above the Basic scenario; when a change is applied to any repline in the income statement, corresponding correlated changes are also made and can be viewed affecting all other replines; in the graph as well as through the table showing existing and applied variations. The changes can be applied to multiple replines at a time.
Addition of additional fields and Tables at data model with the aim of providing readiness of generating tracking and monitoring reports for investment and traded products at Summary, Investment Advisor level, Client’s account fund flow level, performance at customer level and account level and at Securities (Investment) level where the client/account asset holding and other demographic information can be viewed for each type of security.
To achieve the above, required fields, attributes, entities have been made available at Data model as well the RPD, so that reports can be built and generated for the clients who may need it in future. No report has been added/ offered out of box.
The hard coding for 'USGAAP' is replaced with the SQL statement.
For CIBC's wealth management requirements the following new tables are added:
· Fact transaction table
· Fact account position table
Now, the product allows you to apply negative variations in What If.
· EGCM library is not getting installed in Solaris SPARCX86.
