Oracle allows you to change your paid subscription to an Oracle Cloud service.
Requirements and restrictions for changing a subscription to an Oracle Cloud service:
You can change a paid subscription to an Oracle Cloud service only if you have buyer privileges.
Purchased services are available at several subscription levels. For example, you can purchase an Oracle Database Cloud Service subscription at one of three levels. The amount of resources increases as you move up to the next level.
You can change a paid subscription for an existing Oracle Cloud service to a higher level of service at any time. You cannot change a subscription that is already at the highest level available.
You cannot change the subscription to a trial.
If you are a buyer and if you purchased an Oracle Cloud service from Oracle Store, you can access your Oracle Store account and make changes to your paid subscription.
To use Oracle Store to make changes to your paid subscription:
If you are due a credit from the remaining billing cycle for your current subscription, Oracle calculates the amount and includes it in the Prorated Total/Credit column.
When you are done reviewing your checkout information, click Next.
Use the Order Number when querying the status of your order.
Use the CSI Number when contacting Oracle Support.
Oracle sends an order confirmation message to the email address on file.
As a buyer, you can sign in to Your Account in Oracle Store to view full details of your order and check up-to-date status. As an account administrator, you can sign in to the My Account application, open the details page for the service, and view status, subscription plan, and order information.
When Oracle processes your order and completes the changes to your paid subscription, the status for your service becomes Active. The service is ready for you to use at the new subscription level.
If you are a buyer and if you also have account administrator privileges, you can navigate to Oracle Store directly from My Account. You can then access the options for changing your paid subscription.
To start from My Account to make changes to a paid subscription:
If you are already signed in to your Oracle.com account, the system automatically opens the My Account application.
If you are not signed in, enter your Oracle.com account credentials and then click Sign In. The system opens the My Account application.
The system automatically navigates to Oracle Store, opens your account, and displays details about the service you selected.
The Change Subscription option is not available:
For trial subscriptions. You cannot change a trial subscription.
For services where the paid subscription is already at the highest subscription level available.
For the test instance of a service. Go to the production instance to change the subscription.
