5.6 Tracking To Dos

To Dos track work assignments as opposed to functionality. They can be associated with features and milestones to define the tasks needed for completion. To Dos can be organized by release, assigned to developers, and tagged.

5.6.1 Viewing To Dos

To view To Dos:

  1. On the Workspace home page, click the Team Development icon.

  2. Click the To Dos icon.

    The To Dos Dashboard appears. The To Dos Dashboard displays an overview of To Dos within the workspace. You can filter by release, assignee, or application.

  3. Click the Report tab.

    The To Dos Report page appears.

    The To Dos page displays an interactive report of current tasks. You can customize the appearance of page, using the Search bar at the top of the page. To view your personal To Dos, click the My To Dos button at the top of the page.

5.6.2 Creating a To Do

To create a To Do:

  1. On the Workspace home page, click the Team Development icon.

  2. Click the To Dos icon.

    The To Dos dashboard appears.

  3. Click Create To Do.

  4. Fill in the appropriate fields. Mandatory fields are marked with a red asterisk (*).

    To learn more about an attribute, see field-level Help. See "Viewing Field-Level Help."

  5. To add new values to editable select lists, enter a value in the field with the title New. For example, to add name to the Assigned To list, enter a value in New Assignee.

    The value you enter is added.

  6. Click Create To Do.

5.6.3 Updating a To Do

To update a To Do:

  1. On the Workspace home page, click the Team Development icon.

  2. Click the To Dos icon.

    The To Dos Dashboard appears.

  3. Click the Report tab.

  4. Select a milestone.

  5. Edit the appropriate fields.

  6. Click Apply Changes.

5.6.4 How to Attach Files to a To Do

If enabled at the workspace-level, you can attach files to a To Do.

5.6.4.1 Attaching a File to a To Do

Tip:

To use this feature, you must set the Enable File Repository attribute to Yes in Administration, Manage Service, Set Workspace Preferences.

To attach a file to a To Do:

  1. Navigate to the To Do. See "Updating a To Do."

  2. From Actions, click Add File.

  3. On Add File:

    1. File - Locate the file to be uploaded.

    2. Description - Enter a description of the file.

    3. Click Add File.

    A new region, called Files, displays at the bottom of the page.

5.6.4.2 Viewing, Editing, and Removing Attached Files

To manage attached files:

  1. Navigate to the To Do page. See "Updating a To Do."

  2. Scroll down to Files.

  3. Click View and Manage Files.

    The Files page appears.

  4. To view a file, click the name.

  5. To edit the file description, click the Edit icon.

  6. To delete an attached file, click the Delete icon.

5.6.5 Viewing Other To Do Reports

This section describes To Do reports available in Team Development.

5.6.5.1 Viewing the To Do Calendar

To view the To Do Calendar:

  1. On the Workspace home page, click the Team Development icon.

  2. Click the To Dos icon.

    The To Dos Dashboard appears.

  3. Click the Calendar tab.

    The To Dos Calendar appears.

    The Calendar page displays To Dos by due date or date completed in a calendar format. To filter the display by completion status or release, make a selection from the Show and Release select lists and click Set. Click the Previous and Next buttons to view other months. To view To Dos for the current day, click Today. To view a specific To Do, click the To Do name. To create a To Do, click Create To Do and follow the online instructions.

5.6.5.2 Viewing the To Do Progress Log

To view the To Do Calendar:

  1. On the Workspace home page, click the Team Development icon.

  2. Click the To Dos icon.

    The To Dos Dashboard appears.

  3. Click the Progress Log tab.

    The Progress Log page displays an interactive report of progress log entries. To customize the report, use the Search bar at the top of the page. To edit the log, click the Edit icon.
