General Troubleshooting

OCI Child Compartment Creation Failure After Account Linking

The OCI child compartment <GOOGLE_PROJECT_NUMBER> is not created under compartment MulticloudLink_ODBG_<NUMBER> after Account Linking.

Solution:

The child compartment <GOOGLE_PROJECT_NUMBER> is automatically created when the first resource (for example, an ODB Network) is provisioned.

Unable to Link Google Cloud Account (Salt Lake City) to OCI Account (US West, Salt Lake City)

You cannot link a Google Cloud Account in the Salt Lake City region to an OCI Account in the US West region (Salt Lake City).
  • The US West region is not available when creating a new OCI Account.
  • In an existing account, if you attempt to subscribe to the US West region (Salt Lake City) to complete account linking, the following error is returned.
Error returned by ActivateOrderinternal operation in ActivateOrder service.(400, InvalidParameter, false) <TENANCY_OCID> is not subscribed
    to any ODBG region (ca-montreal-1, us-desmoines-1, eu-frankfurt-1, ap-sydney-1,ap-melbourne-1, us-saltlake-2, us-ashburn-1,
    uk-london-1, ap-delhi-1, sa-saopaulo-1,ap-mumbai-1, ap-tokyo-1](opc-request-id: <REQUEST_ID>)

Cause:

OCI tenancy is not subscribed to any of the Oracle AI Database@Google Cloud regions listed in the error. Your OCI tenancy must be subscribed to another region because US West (Salt Lake City) is in limited availability status and not generally available.
Error returned by ActivateOrderinternal operation in ActivateOrder service.(400, InvalidParameter, false) <TENANCY_OCID> is not subscribed to any ODBG region (ca-montreal-1, us-desmoines-1, eu-frankfurt-1,
  ap-sydney-1, ap-melbourne-1, us-saltlake-2, us-ashburn-1, uk-london-1, ap-delhi-1,sa-saopaulo-1, ap-mumbai-1, ap-tokyo-1](opc-request-id: <REQUEST_ID>)

Solution:

Complete the following steps to complete account linking, so you can provision resources in the US West (Salt Lake City) region.
  1. Subscribe to any of the Oracle AI Database@Google Cloud regions other than US West (Salt Lake City).
  2. Continue with account linking step to activate the Oracle AI Database@Google Cloud Subscription.
  3. Subscribe to US West (Salt Lake City) region.
