Creating and Scheduling RFCs for CPU Patching Events

Create and schedule RFCs for business events that you created. Creating and scheduling RFCs lets you to book and secure the time slot that you want, ahead of time. You must have the Authorized Approver role.

To create and schedule RFCs for CPU patching events:

  1. Create the CPU Patching event, as explained in Working with Business Events
  2. For Calendar Grid/Monthly view, click a CPU Patch event from the next CPU cycle, and then select Schedule Change Request.

    For Calendar List View, select the event, click the Actions menu (Actions Menu), and then select Schedule Change Request.

    The Schedule Change Request screen opens, displaying the available time slots to schedule start time for the RFC that will be created.

  3. Select the desired time, and then click Submit.

    A confirmation message is displayed in the upper right side of the screen.

Viewing CPU Events with an Associated RFC

In the Calendar grid, when you view a CPU Event that has an associated RFC, the RFC ID is displayed next to the Event Type, similar to the Calendar list.

In the CPU Event screen that opens, the RFC ID is displayed. When you click the RFC ID, you'll be redirected to MOS. You can review all the details of the RFC in MOS.
