verobmod.gif illustrates the versioning object model. At the top level is a version family, which consists of all the branches created for a single object. A version series corresponds to a branch, a single line of versions. For each version within a version series, there is a version descriptor (which, as its name implies, contains a description of the version) and a content object, the actual file content for that version.
