This is a text description of chart_annot.gif. This figure shows an axis chart with each major element labeled:

• A title at the top of the chart
• A subtitle below the title
• The Y-axis: the vertical axis, on the right of the plot area
• The X-axis: the horizontal axis along the bottom of the plot area
• The plot area, which encompasses the data, bounded by the Y-axis and the X-axis.
• A legend placed at the bottom right of the plot area
• A footnote at the bottom of the chart
• The chart area, which encompasses the entire chart
