This is a text description of oracg_mscs_config.gif, which shows a cluster containing two nodes connected by a private interconnect and a shared storage interconnect. The shared storage interconnect gives the nodes concurrent access to the Oracle Real Application Clusters database data files, control files, and redo log files that are stored on shared raw disk partitions. The shared raw disk partitions are under Oracle Real Application Clusters control. The shared storage interconnect also gives the nodes access to shared-nothing NTFS cluster disks that are under MSCS control. These disks can be accessed by only one cluster node at a time. The quorum resource is kept on a shared-nothing NTFS cluster disk.
