JDK 6 Update 18 is the recommended version of the Java SE Development Kit (JDK) for JavaFX 1.2.3 SDK. All other requirements are listed in the JavaFX Software and System Requirements document.
The JavaFX 1.2.3 SDK includes the following improvements:
- Smaller download size of the JavaFX runtime.
- Faster startup time of JavaFX applications deployed as either a Java Web Start application or Java applet.
- Various bug fixes to improve the reliability of JavaFX applications in the Safari and Firefox browsers on the Mac platform.
- Improved error handling.
- Fixes for visual artifacts in applications with gradients in controls on some Nvidia GeForce boards.
- The JavaFX Packager utility now packages applications and applets with the background update check enabled by default.
