This figure depicts the Oracle WebCenter Portal installation starting points and the path for choosing the Folders_g and FrameworkFolders folder services. The figure shows that for a new installation, FrameworkFolders needs to be enabled. For an existing Oracle WebCenter Portal instance patched to the latest release, users can continue to use Folders_g with no further configuration required. The figures further shows that if Folders_g setup needs to be migrated to FrameworkFolders, WebCenter Portal and Portal Framework applications should be migrated together if they are connected to the same Content Server. If connected to different Content Servers, they need to be migrated separately.
