Oracle Coherence is a component of Oracle Fusion Middleware that enables organizations to predictably scale mission-critical applications by providing fast and reliable access to frequently used data. By automatically and dynamically partitioning data in memory across multiple servers, Oracle Coherence enables continuous data availability and transactional integrity, even in the event of a server failure. As a shared infrastructure, Oracle Coherence combines data locality with local processing power to perform real-time data analysis, in-memory grid computations, and parallel transaction and event processing. Oracle Coherence comes in three editions.
This chapter describes the tasks you can perform to monitor Coherence servers and Coherence clusters.
This chapter includes the following sections:
To monitor Coherence server status:
From the WebLogic Domain dropdown menu, select Environment, then select Coherence Servers.
The Coherence Servers table displays information about the Coherence servers that have been configured in the current domain, such as:
Server name
Cluster
Machine
Unicast Listen Address
Unicast Listen Port
For more information about these fields, see Configuration Options.
Optionally, select View to access the following table options:
Columns: add or remove the columns displayed in the table
Detach: detach the table (viewing option)
Sort: sort the columns in ascending or descending order
Reorder: change the order of the columns displayed
Query by Example
In the table, select the name of the Coherence server for which you want to view configuration information.
To start or shut down Coherence servers:
From the WebLogic Domain dropdown menu, select Environment, then select Coherence Servers.
In the Coherence Servers table, select row containing the Coherence server that you want to start or shut down.
The control options are displayed above the table.
Click Start to start the server or Shutdown to shut down the server.
To monitor Coherence cluster status:
From the WebLogic Domain dropdown menu, select Environment, then select Coherence Clusters.
The Coherence Servers table displays information about the Coherence clusters that have been configured in the current domain, such as:
Cluster Name
Version
Logging Enabled
Targets
For more information about these fields, see Configuration Options.
Optionally, select View to access the following table options:
