Delete security realms

Before you begin

Before you delete a security realm, you should make sure that you have created a different security realm and made it the default security realm. See Change the default security realm. Do not delete your current default security realm.

If automatic realm restart is enabled in the security realm you are deleting, you do not need to restart WebLogic Server after deleting it.


To delete a security realm:

  1. If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).
  2. In the left pane, select Security Realms.
  3. In the Realms table, select the checkbox next to the security realm you want to delete and click Delete.

    A Delete confirmation window appears.
  4. Click Yes to confirm the deletion.
  5. In the Change Center, click Activate Changes.
