What's New In This Guide

This section summarizes the new features and significant product changes for Oracle Enterprise Data Quality Siebel Connector in the Oracle Fusion Middleware 12c (12.2.1.2) release.

New and Changed Features

12c (12.2.1.1 and 12.2.1.2) contains the following new or changed features for the Siebel Connector:

New Functionality Provided to Siebel

The following new functionality is provided to Siebel:

Key Profiles

Full support for key profiles is now provided, in addition to legacy cluster levels.

For more information, see section Key Generation Services in Customer Data Services Pack Guide for Enterprise Data Quality.

Key Analysis

Support for batch key analysis has been provided as a one-way process, that is, key analysis jobs can be triggered from Siebel, but there is no mechanism to return the results to Siebel.

For more information, see section Key Generation Services in Customer Data Services Pack Guide for Enterprise Data Quality.

Improved Matching Flexibility

Siebel will now automatically gain the benefit of the new enhanced matching capability in CDS, but without the ability to configure compound comparison enablement and weightings on a per message basis (however the weightings are exposed in dnd.properties, and can be changed globally without having to customize CDS itself).

For more information, see section Using Matching in Customer Data Services Pack Guide for Enterprise Data Quality.

UIDs

Full support for UIDs (Unique IDs), EIDs (Elimination IDs) and IEIDs (Inverted EIDs) is now provided. The fields are passed automatically to CDS in the web service or staging table the same as for any other party attribute.

For more information, see section Using ID Matching in Customer Data Services Pack Guide for Enterprise Data Quality.

Concurrent Jobs

Support for running multiple concurrent batch jobs for the same business object is now provided.

Installation Changes

The connector and associated files are now shipped with EDQ rather than as a separate product download. It is available in the siebelconnector.zip file in <middleware_home>/edq/oracle.edq.

Use of the Siebel-specific staging tables has been replaced by the new EDQ default staging tables, which are created automatically by the RCU when EDQ is installed.
