Redwood: Use Redwood Style in Approval Notifications for Sales Orders
Send each approval notification in a Redwood style and format. Use it when you review and approve sales orders for fulfillment. Use this new style for email and worklist notifications.
Realize these benefits:
- Use a modern interface design to streamline your approval flow.
- Modify the notification's body to meet your specific requirements.
Notice how the look and style in this classic page is inconsistent between the sales order and the approval flow:
Now notice how the look and style in this redesigned Approval Request page is consistent between the order and the approval flow:

Tips And Considerations
- Enable the Redwood: Use Redwood Style in Approval Notifications for Sales Orders feature.
- If you haven't modified the SalesOrderApprovalTemplate.rtf BI Publisher template or the Sales Order Approval Notification Data Model, then you don't need to do anything. If you have modified them, then review your modifications and apply them to the template and model in the
/Custom/Supply Chain Management/Workflow Notifications/Order Management/
path. If a model or template exists in that path, then Order Management will use it for the approval's notification instead of the predefined model or template. - The SalesOrderApprovalTemplate template displays no more than 5 lines. If you need to display more lines, then you can click a link on the redesign page to display them. You can also modify the template to increase the 5 line limit.
- If your item is a configuration model, then the template displays only that model. It doesn’t display any of the model's components, coverages, or subscriptions.
- You can modify the data model or the template to display more attributes.
- You use only one data model and template for actionable notifications and for information only notifications.
- Order Management applies the redesigned style regardless of whether you create the sales order on a redesigned page or classic page, or import it through REST API or FBDI.
- In Update 25B, Order Management will open the approval notification in the redesigned page or the classic page depending on your sales order's contents. For example, if the order contains a configured item, coverage, or subscription, then Order Management will open approval notification in the classic page. Order Management will open the notification for these sales orders in the redesigned page in a future update. If you haven't opted into this new feature, or if you haven't opened, searched, or submitted an approval on the redesigned page, then Order Management will open that approval's notification on the classic pages.
