New features in this release include:
Flow Manufacturing
Flow manufacturing is an innovative approach to manufacturing that some companies are using to achieve record inventory turns. To prepare for flow manufacturing, you design production lines and production processes so that each line can produce a constantly changing mix of products within a product family at a consistent rate. Product Families
To prepare for flow manufacturing, you create product families whose similarity in resource usage, design, and manufacturing process facilitates planning at an aggregate level. See: Product Families.
Mixed Model Map
The mixed model map provides a new way to create and monitor your line design. With the mixed model map you can calculate and monitor resource and time requirements which allows you to accurately balance your line against a specified forecast. See: Mixed Model Map.
