Overview of Forecast Generation
Another way to define a forecast is to generate it automatically based on historical demand information, such as inventory transactions. You can then load these forecasts into another forecast or into a master schedule.
The two methods of generating forecasts are:
- Focus forecasting - which produces only single period forecasts
- Statistical forecasting - which you can use to forecast any number of periods into the future
