Changes to Windows and Features
The Employment Information alternative region has been changed. The I9 checkbox is now a field accepting the following list of values:
The list of organizations and positions that you can query in the Organization and Position windows is now controlled by your security profile.
If you want a user to be able to view all organizations and positions, you must give them a view-all responsibility with access to these two windows.
- Status field on the Position window: this new field controls whether employees can be assigned to the position. Two values have been predefined for the Status list, Valid and Invalid. In addition, you can create position statuses of your own using the QuickCode Type POSITION_STATUS.
If the position has the status Valid or no status, you can select it on the Assignment window. If the position has any other status, it is not displayed in the list of values on the Assignment window.
If you choose not to use this feature and leave the status field blank for all positions, existing functionality is unaffected. By using the feature and selecting Invalid (or creating a status such as Proposed or Under Consideration), you can ensure that users revalidate the position before assigning someone to it.
