Basics of Client Applications

Oracle Objects For OLE enables client applications to connect to Oracle database servers, execute commands, and access and manipulate the results returned. While some flexibility exists in the order in which specific tasks can be performed, every application using the OO4O Automation objects performs the following basic steps:

· Access the OO4O Automation Server

· Connect to Oracle Database Servers

· Execute commands and access the results

· Disconnect from the servers and free the OO4O objects used
