This is a text description of prefs-da.gif, which shows the Database tab of the Preferences window. The Database tab contains three main areas: Log-in, Database Connection, and Default PL/SQL Template. The Log-in area contains the User name and Password fields, where you provide the user name and password (respectively) for a database user account. The Database Connection area contains the Service text field, where you specify the service name of the database to which you will connect; the JDBC Driver pulldown menu, where you specify the JDBC driver that you are using; and the Test Connection button, which tests to see if Annotator can connect to the specified database using the specified JDBC Driver. The Default PL/SQL Template area contains the Default PL/SQL Template text field, where you specify an OFM file that Annotator will use for an annotation, and a Browse button, which opens a window where you can specify a new default PL/SQL template. See the text following this image for more information on the Database Connection area.
