Reports Developer uses Oracle WebDB to make it more convenient and secure to publish reports via the Web. When users attempt to run a report, the Reports Server uses WebDB to determine if the requesting users have access to all the required resources. This provides a useful level of security for confidential data.
With WebDB, you can run reports on demand, schedule reports to run automatically, and push the resulting report output to a destination WebDB site.
