Registries are storehouses of information about projects. Type
information is used to categorize project files and determine the actions
that apply to them. There is also a special
Connections registry that stores pre-defined database connect
strings you can associate with files.
A project refers to two types of registries: the Global Registry, and one
or more user registries.
