The Job Scheduling system allows you to automate standard and repetitive tasks, such as starting up and shutting down a database, or running a SQL script. Intelligent Agents on managed nodes execute the jobs submitted from administrators' consoles, and communicate job status. Note that the console can only run a job on a target if you have provided appropriate login credentials with your administrator Preferences, or if your console login credentials are also valid on the target.
