This illustration depicts load balancing with a third-party load balancer. Web browser requests come in to L4 Switch www.server.com. The L4 switch sends HTTPS requests directly to application Web server www-internal.server4.com and HTTP requests to Oracle Web Cache server www-internal.server1.com. Oracle Web Cache sends the requests to third-party load balancer www-internal.server2.com that distributes them among application Web servers www-internal.server3.com and www-internal.server4.com.
