You install Oracle8i Cache on all nodes in the middle tier on which you want to cache data. When you install Oracle8i Cache, you specify which Oracle database you want to use as the origin database. The installation procedure creates a cache on the Oracle8i Cache node and prepares the origin database for use by Oracle8i Cache.
