Store the Same File in Multiple Folders
Different people prefer to organize their information in different ways. Ideally, most people like to have the same file available from multiple folders. For example, store the year-end sales totals in both the Salesperson and Year-end folders.

In ordinary file systems, the only way to do this is to copy the file to each folder--creating an updating mess.

In iFS, a pointer to a single file, or folder, can be stored in any number of folders. Changes made to the file, whichever folder it is accessed from, appear in all instances of the file automatically.
