A single generic, highly optimized Java applet is used for forms. This approach optimizes performance, minimizes client resources, and drastically reduces network traffic, enabling application deployment even in low-cost WAN architectures.
The Forms Server downloads the Java applet to the client machine for execution in the end-user's browser or an applet viewer. You can supply Java classes to customize some features of the user interface.
