The Reports Server uses HTML and CGI scripts to interact with the end user's browser. The server also maintains a cache of recently run reports so that other end users can view the report without rerunning it.
Because Report Builder produces reports in browser-compatible formats (for example, HTML and PDF), end users can distribute reports easily to others.
