You use the Notification page to select a paging carrier and enter an SMTP mail ID. The list of paging carriers is established as part of the post-installation configuration process. To configure E-mail notification, you also need to specify the SMTP gateway with the console's System menu. If you have Notify permission for an event, Enterprise Manager uses these settings to contact you when the event occurs.
