Our team of administrators has also registered several events on the databases, and my task for today may cause several of them to generate alerts. Fortunately, I can stop e-mail and paging notification from the Console without removing any events. To do so, I select the first database, choose Paging/Email Blackout from the Navigator menu, and check Total Blackout. I then repeat the process for the second database. Now, all paging and e-mail from these two databases will be blocked until I remove the Total Blackout.
