Enterprise Manager consists of three tiers: Console clients and integrated tools provide a graphical interface for administrators. Management Servers provide a scalable middle tier for processing all system management tasks. Intelligent Agents are installed on each node to monitor its databases and services and execute tasks from the Management Server.
