You'll encounter more information about Enterprise Manager's architecture later in this Quick Tour (in "How Enterprise Manager Works").		Architecture Enterprise Manager's three tiers are: the Console, Management Servers, and Intelligent Agents on network nodes. The Console and other client applications may be run locally, or be deployed from a web browser. Management Servers provide distributed control between clients and managed nodes, and process system management tasks. Management Servers use a centralized repository to store data. An Intelligent Agent is installed on each managed node to execute jobs and monitor events sent by the Management Server. Multiple Management Servers can share a single repository to balance larger workloads. Organizations which have separate teams of administrators can have independent repositories and corresponding management servers for each team.
