This figure describes the connection flow for Oracle Application Server wireless applications. When
a wireless device sends a request, the signal travels to a base station. The base
station connects to an IP router, and the IP router passes the request through a firewall
to a WAP gateway. The signal then passes through a second firewall to Oracle Application Server.
Oracle Application Server connects to a back-end database, a database provider, or a web provider.
