This figure describes how Oracle Application Server converts XML from the HTTP adapter to markup appropriate for a requesting wireless device.

• The XML passes through the two parts of the Device/Network Adapter: the Transformer and the Request Processor.
• The Request Processor consists of the HTTP Handler and the Asynch Server.
• From there, the output passes through any gateway to the wireless device in the proper markup language.
