The Active Failover Cluster environment must include the following:

• A hardware cluster with two or more nodes

• A storage device for each node

• A storage device shared by all nodes

• A load balancer to direct HTTP, HTTPS, and LDAP requests from Oracle Application Server middle tiers to the nodes in the cluster
