This figure provides an overview of outgoing messages from OracleAS InterConnect to an SMTP server. The components mentioned in this figure are described throughout this guide.

A box labeled the OracleAS InterConnect Technology Adapter for SMTP sits in the middle of the figure. There are three smaller boxes inside this box:

The box on the left is labeled Common Transport, and includes two smaller boxes: one labeled SMTP Sender and the other labeled SMTP Receiver.
The box in the middle is labeled Bridge, and includes one smaller box labeled D3L (processor).
The box on the right is labeled Agent.
