This figure provides an overview of outgoing messages from OracleAS InterConnect to an SMTP server. The components mentioned in this figure are described throughout this guide.

A box labeled the OracleAS InterConnect Technology Adapter for SMTP sits in the middle of the figure. There are three smaller boxes inside this box:

A box labeled Common View Messages in the upper right side of the figure includes an arrow that points to the Agent box. The Common View Messages box is outside the box labeled the OracleAS InterConnect Technology Adapter for SMTP.

Immediately below the Common View Messages box is a database labeled Runtime Repository. The Runtime Repository box includes an arrow that points to the Bridge box. The Runtime Repository is also outside the box labeled the OracleAS InterConnect Technology Adapter for SMTP.

The Agent box includes an arrow that points to the Bridge box. The wording below this arrow says OracleAS InterConnect Application View Messages. The D3L (processor) box inside the Bridge box includes an arrow pointing to the SMTP Sender box inside the Common Transport box.

On the left side of the figure is a server labeled SMTP Server. The SMTP Sender box inside the Common Transport box includes an arrow labeled Mail pointing out to the SMTP Server. The SMTP Server is outside the box labeled the OracleAS InterConnect Technology Adapter for SMTP.

The Bridge and Agent boxes both include arrows pointing down to a box labeled OracleAS InterConnect Runtime Logs/Traces. This box is outside the box labeled the OracleAS InterConnect Technology Adapter for SMTP.
