SetExceptionQueue Method

Description

Specifies the name of the queue to which message should be moved if it cannot be processed successfully.

Usage

void SetExceptionQueue(const char *qname) const throw(OException)

Arguments

qname
A string specifying a valid queue name.
Remarks

Applicable only for a message that is being enqueued. Possible values:

· A String containing a valid queue name

· NULL (Default)

A message is moved to the exception queue if it has expired or the number of dequeue attempts has exceeded the max_retries argument specified in the DBMS_AQADM.CREATE_QUEUE command. For more information on the CREATE_QUEUE command, see the Oracle Streams Advanced Queuing User's Guide and Reference .
