Public: This represents external access to Oracle Collaboration Suite and includes the following characteristics:
Base 12 public IP addresses are shown to external users.
Users can connect through a NAT layer using HTTP, HTTPS or SMTP. Web Conferencing connects through a proprietary protocol.
DMZ: The demilitarized zone between the outside world and Oracle Collaboration Suite; includes:
A Reverse Proxy server using ports 80 and 443.
An SMTP relay server using port 25.
Tunneled Web Conferencing traffic to the middle tier.
Internal: The internal network, including the following tiers, each residing on their own server:
The middle tier (ocs.acme.com) with IP 10.10.10.1.
The infrastructure tier (sso.acme.com) with IP 10.10.10.2.
The information storage tier on IP 10.10.10.3.
Customer Network: Supports all connection protocols to the middle tier.
