This diagram is divided into the following three sections, from top to bottom.

• Access: All protocols are open to the customer network, while HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP and Web Conferencing are open to the Internet through proxy servers.

• DMZ: The demilitarized zone between the outside world and Oracle Collaboration Suite; includes:

  • Four servers for the Web client and Web Conferencing (OHS, OC4J).

  • Two servers for Single-Sign On and Oracle Delegated Administration Services.

  • Four UM servers for Files nodes, SMTP, IMAP and so on.

  • One Grid Control server.

• Internal: The internal network, including:

  • Two severs for Oracle Internet Directory and infrastructure servers.

  • Three servers for the Calendar database and Files Domain Controller.

  • Three information storage servers with SAN.
