Introduction

Oracle Application Server is built for ease of management, with a core set of internal management services that automatically handle complex operations. Oracle Application Server is supported by Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g, a Web-based management system that meets the challenges of grid computing environments. Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g provides a simple, out-of-the-box administration interface and a comprehensive system for managing and monitoring large-scale Oracle systems. Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Application Server Control, the administration interface, is automatically installed with Oracle Application Server 10g Release 2 (10.1.2). The complete Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Grid Control product is provided with the Oracle Application Server CD pack. The two work as an integrated system for complete application server system management.
