Customize Your Portals

The OracleAS Portal Customization page outlines the structure and contents of the portal page, while enabling users to edit them.

You can add portlets, rearrange portlets, alter column widths, or add and delete content areas. When you add a portlet you are presented with a list of available portlets, arranged by provider. You then select a portlet and assign it to a specific part of the page.

For example, an employee's portal page could contain an in-box for e-mail or notifications, company news, an equipment purchasing application, and stock quotes. On the other hand, a manager's portal page could contain an HR application and budget tracker.
