• Oracle Application Server

The Oracle Application Server contains two instances of OC4J:

• The first OC4J instance contains a Portal, which in turn contains an OMNI Portlet.

• The second OC4J instance contains:

  • Servlet Container that hosts the OracleAS Adapter Business Services Engine

  • First J2CA Client that contains a Servlet, an EJB, and an Application Client

  • Second J2CA Client that contains the J2CA Resource Adapter

  • Adapter SKD, that contains EIS Libraries

The following relationships are supported:

• Uni-directional communication from OracleAS Integration InterConnect Hub to OracleAS Integration InterConnect EIS Adapter Plugin

• Bi-directional communication between OracleAS Integration InterConnect EIS Adapter Plugin and the Servlet Container in the second instance of OC4J, through SOAP or RMI

• Uni-directional communication from the first instance of the OC4J to the Servlet Container in the second instance of OC4J, through SOAP

• Uni-directional communication from the OracleAS Adapter Business Services Engine to the Adapter SKD

• Uni-directional communication from the first J2CA Client to the second J2CA Client through J2CA CCI

• Uni-directional communication from the second J2CA Client to the Adapter SDK

• Uni-directional communication from the Adapter SDK to the EIS
